Golden Triangle-INDIA

Delhi-Agra-Jaipur is known as Golden triangle of India. It was my primary school teacher prompted the idea of Agra  after an article that written by him  that appeared in our school notice board with pictures of Taj Mahal and Shah Jahan.I was barely 10 years old than.To make matters worst the famous Hindi Song Jawadaki yawo  sang by Mohd Rafi always appears from my neighbors house. The song is about Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal in the famous Hindi movie Taj Mahal.
At last on the 12th April 2011 I saw my self in Taj Mahal! Amazing, really amazing! No wonder its a world wonder.I walked in and out of Taj Mahal and sat on the floors of Taj Mahal. The workmanship and the craftmanship of the love piece is worth  the visit.
It took about four hours car drive from Agra to Jaipur.Jaipur is a pink city offers plenty of  things to the tourist. The series of palaces and forts are important attractions. The capital of Rajasthan is culturally rich and the woman are practically pretty and shy!
Hawa Mahal,Jantar  Mantar and City Palace gives the history of Jaipur while the palace which is partially converted to museum is worth a visit.
The name Jaipur go well with late Jaipur Maharani Gayatri Rani Devi who was well known for her charm and beauty and was voted by Vogue magazine as one of the beautiful woman in the world in 60s.Her palace was visited by British Royals and she was a good pal of Jacqueline Kennedy. She promoted education for woman in Jaipur and was regarded as a skilled horsewoman. She paid a heavy price by winning the Jaipur Parliamentary seat  with highest votes that went into the Guinness Book Of Records. She was promptly charged on tax evasion and was sent to Tihar Jail and kept among prostitutes by than the PM of India Indira Gandhi during her emergency rule.I dedicated my trip to the late Maharani Gayatri Rani Devi.

My trip ended with Delhi where I visited the house of Mahatma Gandhi and the parliament house.
